Where Should the Next Assassin’s Creed Game Take Place?
There are still many places and periods for the series to explore.
Later this year, we will see the release of the latest installment in Uibosoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise with the release of AC: Mirage. It is a sequel to AC: Valhalla and features the character Basim Ibn Ishaq. The game will take place in Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age.
Assassin’s Creed is one of the most successful franchises in video games. A mixture of science fiction and historical fiction, the games have been a fan favorite since the first game was released in 2007. There are currently twelve games in the main franchise, while several other spin-off games exist.
The main appeal for most gamers is the historical settings of the games. The first game occurred in the Middle East during the Crusades and introduced the centuries-old feud between Templars and Assassins. The game also adds some science fiction elements, including the Animus, which allows a modern-day person to access memories of long-dead ancestors. There are also elements of the ancient alien theory that turned off a few fans but still make for a decent connecting story.
