The Sh*t Show That Was the Tyson vs Paul Fight

It was probably fixed, but the whole event was a mess.

Like many people, last Friday night, I turned on Netflix to watch the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul boxing match. The event had been advertised and postponed for over a year (the fight was supposed to happen in July, but due to a Tyson health scare, it was delayed). While the preliminary matches were somewhat promising, most people looked forward to the main event.

For those who don’t know the back story, Jake Paul made his name years ago by creating YouTube videos with his brother, Logan. While some of the videos were entertaining, as the brothers got older and more successful, they became more obnoxious. They also ran into some legal trouble, including a cryptocurrency scam.

Eventually, Logan began a career in WWE while Jake tried his hand at boxing.

However, Jake has made a reputation for fighting boxers past their prime (Prime also happens to be the drink company the Paul brothers own). His training videos make it seem like he doesn't take the sport very seriously, and they are more of his social media antics.
