Six of The Worst Marvel Characters to Be Members of the Avengers
Not all heroes are worthy of being among the “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”
The Avengers were first introduced in the 1960s. The team comprised of some of Marvel’s best heroes at the time. The first comic teamed Thor, the Hulk, Iron Man, Ant-Man, and the Wasp against Loki. A few issues later, a resuscitated Captain America joined and became the group’s de facto leader.
With the MCU, there have been around 28 Avengers that have made it to the big and small screens. In the nearly sixty years of comics, over a hundred heroes have gained membership to the Avengers.
However, not all heroes are created equal. While many Avengers members make sense to readers, some are seen as pity additions or major headscratchers. Here is a look at some of the worst characters to be given their Avengers membership card.
