The creepiest of creepy dolls
Annabelle is the 2014 sequel to The Conjuring. In this film, we learn the origins of the possessed doll and what made a simple doll so evil.
The film takes place in 1970s California. John (Ward Horton) and Mia (Annabelle Wallis)form are a young couple expecting their first child. One night, their neighbors, the Higgins, are attacked and murdered by a man and a woman. The killers then invade the Form’s home. The police shoot the man while the woman locks herself in the nursery. She then slits her throat while holding a doll and writing symbols on the wall in blood.
After that, strange things happen in the Form’s home. The doll from he night of the muder seems to move to different locations, and a startled John throws the doll out. Later, the house was damaged by a kitchen fire. Mia gives birth to a healthy daughter named Leah, and the couple relocate to an apartment. When unpacking, they find the doll packed in a box.
The forms learn that one of the killers was Higgins's estranged daughter, Annabelle. She had become part of a satanic cult. Mia then begins to experience strange visions, including Annabelle trying to attack her.
The Forms contact their local priest, who attempts to exorcise the demon possessing the doll. When his attempts fail, they call the famed…
